Helen Starlight, BA -- Office Manager
Hello, I'm Helen, and I am proud to be a member of Dr. Andy's staff. I'm a native of Los Angeles and and I speak Hebrew and Spanish fluently. In 1977, I graduated from UCLA with a B.A., Cum Laude in sociology. I've worked in dentistry since 1981, managing dental offices in Beverly Hills and West L.A., and love what I do. I have two lovely adult daughters, Natalie (6/3/83), who graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, 2005), and Naomi (9/6/86), who graduated from the University of Wisconsin, 2008). I will always be happy to answer any questions you may have. I'll be happy to assist you with your appointments, financial arrangements, treatment plans, and dental insurance. I look forward to meeting each and every one of you--especially getting to know you. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to make your acquaintance.
Hannah G. Wilkowsky, RDAEF -- Registered Dental Assistant Hello, I'm Hannah, and I've been part of "Dr. Andy's team" since 1997. I am from Ventura County where, in 1986, I began working in pediatric and orthodontic dentistry. I have my license to practice in California as a Registered Dental Assistant with Expanded Functions. I've been married to Paul since December 28, 2002. When time permits, I enjoy travel and camping. My hobbies include crafts, sewing, rollerblading, and calligraphy. I also received my license in Cosmetology in 1994. I'm very excited to be a part of "Dr. Andy's" dynamic staff and I look forward to meeting you and your smile!
Barbara J. Birks, RDA -- Registered Dental Assistant
Hello, and welcome. I'm Barbara, and I was born in sunny California on December 2, 1968. I enjoy helping people, so as a child I knew I'd spend my adult years in the medical field or as a teacher. I have had the pleasure of both! I've been in the dental field since 1991, and have graduated in the top of my class. After receiving my Registered Dental Assistant license, I decided to start a business teaching others how to prepare for their RDA license. I have also been an instructor at Bryman Dental College. I love my two kids, my son, Brandon (6/10/87) and my daughter, Brittany (10/31/89). In my personal time I work with my on-line health and fitness business that I enjoy with my fiance', Robert. I also enjoy reading, walking along the beach, and doing Yoga to unwind. I look forward to helping you feel comfortable in our office, where the pleasure of meeting you will be mine!
Daria C. Johnson. RDH -- Registered Dental Hygienist
Hi, I'm Daria. In keeping with Dr. Andy's approach to exceptional patient care and state of the art technology, I too, wish to serve you in the most caring and conscientious way that I can. I joined Dr. Andy's dental team in July 2007, and it has been a great pleasure. I graduated from Meharry Medical College/Tennessee State University in 1980. I also received my Expanded Function license from Loma Linda University that same year. I keep up-to-date with technology and new techniques and love continuing education. I bring to the Hygiene Department a progressive soft tissue management program that includes the use of laser therapy and a periodontal endoscope, that allows me to see down into your gum pockets. Outside the office, the loves of my life are my son Darion, (10/4/90) my parents and my faith. I strive to give the best I can every day with a positive and humble attitude. Mojdeh Naziri. RDH -- Registered Dental Hygienist
Welcome, I'm Mojdeh. It's a pleasure being an integral part of such an innovative dental practice. I love working for Dr. Andy where I get to know so many wonderful people. I graduated from West Los Angeles College in August 2000. My previous degree is a Bachelor of Science from San Diego State University. My main focus is soft tissue management to improve your gums and bone health around your teeth. I may use antibiotic and laser therapies for you to achieve maximum periodontal health. I am married and have three lovely girls: Sepideh (born in 1989), Melody (born in 1992), and Amanda (born in 1999). In my spare time I like to read and spend time with friends and family. I look forward to seeing you soon and to building a long-lasting, and healthy-smiling relationship.
